Actually he missed a good opportunity by not mentioning the fact that the JWs believe in the false doctrine of Toast which basically means that any human being who ignores the words of the Governing Body will end up as toast.

I didn't say I liked and admired Soviet Russia .

All power corrupts even in the West we need checks and balances .

For the intelligence service to spy on the population en masse in Russia is a criminal offense .

Big Brother mentioned in the book 1984 was written as a warning not as an instruction on how to spy on our every move.

Why if we in the West live by the rule of law did we invade Iraq when it was voted against in the UN.

Very interesting .I have thought for a long time now that Mr Putin stands head and shoulders above the rest of the World leaders I also think that the Russians have the moral high ground .Of course saying that will cause controversy obviously but I have listened to some of his speeches and a lot of his statements ring true and given the history of Russian struggle against the invader plus the massive border security they have to worry about who can blame them for wanting security .

I have read and heard a lot of hysterical comments about Mr Putin in the British and US media and to my way of thinking it's the West that is the bully .Frequently we are not being told the truth there is too much disinformation and hypocrisy coming out of Britain and the US. Considering the number of countries that we in the West have decided to invade in order to effect regime change its jaw dropping to hear the criticism of Russia for protecting its own people.

Nothing is perfect in this World but we should not demonise and lie to destabilise Russia for an ulterior motive Gorbachev has said that it will take 10 to 15 years for Russia to gain full democracy .They should be assisted and encouraged.

Well I have got the holey underwear after the moths nibbled at it when I could not for the life of me get hold of any moth balls. So will they let me join?

I think I am getting used to this new way of participating with this forum I really haven't left the dark ages of pen and paper yet but I am getting there.

I could not imagine going to the Kingdom Hall with an I Pad either too much like a business meeting for my liking.I am much more suited to giving out Hymn Books at the back of the church these days.However I have not done that for a few years either.
